Mad Dog & Merrill’s Midwest Grillin’ to Film at Wisconsin Lions Camp

The Wisconsin Lions Camp will welcome Mad Dog & Merrill Midwest Grillin’ to its grounds on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, for a special television filming that will combine grilling, entertainment, music and an inside look at the Wisconsin Lions Camp.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt and is open to the general public and Lions members. Admission to the filming is free, although pre-registration is requested to assist with event planning. Registration is available at TicketSignup – Mad Dog & Merrill Show Filming at Wisconsin Lions Camp.

Known as self-proclaimed “Grillologists,” Mad Dog & Merrill bring their signature blend of entertainment and education to their Midwest Grillin’ television series. The show is filmed in front of a live audience and features unique recipes, live music and plenty of laughs. During the Wisconsin Lions Camp filming, audience members will also have an opportunity to learn more about the Camp and its impact while enjoying the finer points of grilling.

The event comes during a milestone year for Wisconsin Lions Camp, which is celebrating its 70th summer in operation. Since its founding, Wisconsin Lions Camp has provided free summer camp experiences for Wisconsin children and adults with disabilities.

“Bringing Midwest Grillin’ to Wisconsin Lions Camp is a wonderful way to celebrate our 70th summer and invite people from across the area to experience what makes this place so special,” said Brad Behrens, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Lions Foundation. “It’s going to be a fun day of great food, entertainment and fellowship, while also helping support Camp and the people we serve.”

In addition to the television filming, attendees will have the opportunity to take wagon tours of Wisconsin Lions Camp, participate in a 50/50 raffle, and purchase Midwest Grillin’ spices and sauces.

Lunch will be available for $25, with proceeds benefiting Wisconsin Lions Camp. The meal, provided by Ski’s Meat Market of Stevens Point, will include pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, a cookie, and bottled water, along with a selection of Midwest Grillin’ barbecue sauces.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Wisconsin Lions Camp and help support its mission of providing free summer camp experiences to children and adults with disabilities.
