Lions License Plates
Support WLF & Promote Lionism in Wisconsin by purchasing a special license plate!
The Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. (WLF) administers five statewide projects of the Lions and Leo Clubs of Wisconsin. Through club donations, as well as the support from many other donors, the WLF is able to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people each year. Your donation works to support:
- Wisconsin Lions Camp – a free one-week summer camp experience for Wisconsin children and adults with disabilities. Campers are able to meet others who live with the same daily challenges as they do and enjoy summer camping geared towards their abilities. Camp serves approximately 1,000 people a summer.
- Eyeglass Recycling Center – collects used eyeglasses and washes, sorts, and ships them throughout the world to give those in need the opportunity to see clearly. Approximately 1,000,000 eyeglasses are received by the Eyeglass Recycling Center annually.
- Vision Screening – Lions Clubs around the state conduct free vision screenings in schools, preschools, and community centers to help with the early detection of possible vision issues.
- Hearing – collects used hearing aids for credit to provide hearing aids to approved Wisconsin residents who cannot afford to buy a hearing aid.
- Diabetes Awareness – provides materials and resources to help Wisconsin residents understand their risks and how to prevent diabetes.
Things You Should Know:
- Lions Foundation license plates can feature regular numbers or a personalized message.
- A $25 annual donation supports the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. (WLF). The donation may be deductible if you itemize your taxes.
- A $15 fee is required when non-personalized Lions Foundation plates are issued or reissued.
- A $15 fee is required EACH year in addition to the regular annual registration fee and donation for personalized plates.
- The following vehicles qualify for Lions Foundation license plates:
- Automobiles
- Motor homes (annual registration only)
- Motor trucks – 4,500, 6,000 or 8,000 pound gross weight including dual purpose farm and dual purpose motor home and 12,000 pound gross weight farm truck.
